Volunteer Opportunities August 2009

Hello all

Just a quick note to let you know about upcoming volunteering opportunities with Bruised Fruit over the next few months. 

Volunteering with Bruised Fruit is great way to enhance skills and personal development, make friends and gain valuable experience of working in the arts industry.  Working alongside VSB we aim to provide a safe and fun environment for people from all walks of life.  We greatly acknowledge the support given to us by VSB and their Small Grants scheme.

Open Opportunities

Project/Event: Live at The Castle
Location: Carrickfergus
Dates: 28-29 August (all day)
Requirements: Over 18s only. Previous event management experience preferable
Additional Info: Transport from Belfast can be provided if necessary. We are looking for a small team of competent event managers to help with the running of a two day festival.  Duties may include artist liaison, backstage management, stewarding and general front of house duties.

Project/Event: Animal Disco
Location: Belfast
Dates: 22 August (4pm - 12am)
Requirements: Over 18s only.
Additional Info: Help needed with setting up stalls and general front of house duties.

Project/Event: Open House Festival
Location: Belfast
Dates: 23-27 September (various times)
Requirements: None
Additional Info: There are opportunities to get involved in a number of different areas including Front of House, Backstage, Admin and more. An open day for potential volunteers is being held on Wednesday 12 August from 7pm in McHugh's Basement, Belfast.  For more info email volunteer@openhousefestival.com
